At the end of June, the first half of the year saw the end of the sea cucumber season, and top experts in the domestic sea cucumber industry gathered in Linghai, Jinzhou to jointly discuss the development plan of the sea cucumber industry. The five major industry directions deserve industry attention.

Wang Qingyin, Chairman of the Chinese Fisheries Society and former Director of the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Chairman of the Spiny Skin Animal Branch of the Chinese Society of Marine and Limnology, Professor Chang Yaqing and Vice Chairman of Dalian Ocean University, Researcher Wang Yingeng of the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Researcher Sun Huiling, Professor Sun Weiming of Yantai University, President of the Sea Cucumber Industry Branch of the Chinese Fisheries Association, Chairman of Shandong Anyuan Seed Industry Technology Co., Ltd., and Secretary General Chi Feiyue gathered in Linghai to board a ship and explore the sea cucumber industry. President Zou Ange introduced the experience of Anyuan Seed Industry in leveraging its technological advantages and providing technical services. Relevant experts provide suggestions and opinions on the future development of the sea cucumber industry.

Since 2018, Anyuan Seed Industry has officially entered Linghai and cooperated with Liaoning Shengda Sea Cucumber Breeding Company, Jinzhou Dalian and other enterprises. Through the advantageous variety and technical services of Anyuan No.1, it has driven the progress of Liaoning Sea Cucumber Breeding Industry. The income of sea cucumber practitioners in Linghai area has doubled, the rent of sea cucumber breeding ponds has tripled, and the per mu yield of sea cucumber ponds has increased from less than 100 kilograms to over 300 kilograms. In the first half of this year, 4 million kilograms of sea cucumber seedlings and finished products have been sold.

Chang Yaqing, Chairman of the Spiny Skin Animal Branch, and Wang Yingeng, Vice Chairman, analyzed the development factors, disease prevention and control, and functional feed experiments of the sea cucumber industry. The two experts believe that there are problems in the current domestic sea cucumber breeding process, such as unreasonable planning and layout, limited application scope of new varieties, extensive breeding management, frequent disease outbreaks, and low industrialization level. Experts believe that adding probiotics to functional feed for sea cucumber is a more comprehensive and cost-effective measure for improving future sea cucumber production and quality. Relevant experts and President Zou Ange conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the formula and form of feed for sea cucumber seedling cultivation, breeding stages, and various breeding methods, as well as the amount of feeding, improvement of related breeding equipment, and application of probiotics. Chairman Wang Qingyin pointed out that the sea cucumber industry is an effective lever for rural revitalization in the main production areas of sea cucumber. Anyuan Seed Industry has made outstanding contributions to the upgrading of Liaoning's sea cucumber industry with its down-to-earth work style, Anyuan's thorny variety advantages, and comprehensive and effective technical level. Anyuan Sea cucumber Industry Research Institute should play a greater role in serving the industry. In the future, the sea cucumber industry should increase research and development efforts in new varieties promotion, functional feed research and development, intelligent equipment application, sea cucumber pre made vegetable research and development, and channel promotion, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of the sea cucumber industry and achieve a production value exceeding 100 billion yuan. Chairman Wang Qingyin suggested that the Sea Cucumber Industry Branch conduct research on intelligent equipment in the industry, provide relevant information for national fishery equipment subsidies, actively seek support from relevant national projects, and promote industrial progress.
