An ocean ranch is a new type of aquaculture and fishery system in which artificial habitats tailored to the ecological needs of aquatic resources are established within a specific marine area. After intermediate rearing or artificial domestication, juvenile organisms are released into the sea and then managed scientifically through advanced techniques for species control and environmental monitoring, enabling the sustainable increase of resource stocks and ensuring planned, highly efficient harvests. At present, the globally catchable biomass of marine fisheries resources has essentially reached its limit. In 2017, the company’s marine area was approved as the Shandong Anyuan Marine Ranch, and in 2020, it received national-level certification as a marine ranch. The marine ranch stocks a new variety of sea cucumber developed independently by the company. Benefiting from its uniquely advantageous geographical location, this sea cucumber boasts a long growth cycle, resulting in large individuals with robust and well-developed spines, thick, tender, and delicious flesh, and rich nutritional value—making it a premium-quality specialty among high-grade sea cucumbers. The company’s Beihai area is located in the Yellow Sea region, characterized by abundant deep-water resources, stunning natural scenery, an excellent ecological environment, and convenient transportation links. By accelerating the integrated development of the marine area, the company has seamlessly combined offshore fishing with angling platforms, widely promoting diverse and engaging recreational activities such as angling competitions and seafood tastings. Furthermore, the company is developing deep-water net cages in the marine area, linking them organically with “marine tourism” to organize deep-sea fishing excursions. Ultimately, the company aims to establish a high-quality, technology-driven demonstration park for sea cucumber products centered on its Beihai area—a park that integrates shore-based and offshore angling platforms, marine aquaculture, ecological conservation and fishing, catering services, and leisure and entertainment activities.
